Our fabulous team member, Anna Morrison, is doing a fundraiser for a cause very close to our hearts, Parkinson's UK.

We are extremely proud and in awe of Anna! Please dig deep and support Anna in her amazing challenge by donating at Anna's Just Giving page - link below.

Many thanks from the Carreg Law team.

Anna’s story:

Hi

Im raising money for Parkinsons UK, for the love and support of my close friend whose father is suffering with this evil disease.

Im setting myself the challenge to run from Abergavenny to Llandeilo, off road over the mighty Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.

The route I've chosen includes parts of the Beacons Way, with lots of ups and downs and lovely towns to refuel. My father and boyfriend will be my support team and my wonderful lurchers will join me for certain sections of the route.

My challenge is to do the route over 48 hours with an overnight sleep at the Storey Arms. I plan to run the easy bits and strut the hard bits in style. The route will be approx 80 miles sorry feet!

I hope my challenge will persuade you to donate on my behalf and I thank you in advance for your love and support.

Thank you very much and wish me luck and good weather!

The date is set for Saturday 14th June!

Anna xx

Team trip to The Little Retreat in Lawrenny

November 10, 2022

Team Carreg was overdue some team time, so we headed west to The Little Retreat in Lawrenny (www.littleretreats.co.uk) - they arranged a relaxing gong bath with G Nature & Wellbeing (www.gnaw.wales), wholesome pizza from Hugtasty Sourdough Bakery and wondrous stargazing with Dark Sky Wales (www.darkskywalestrainingservices.co.uk), plus we took a good walk in between.

A wonderfully unwinding time in a superb location - thank you The Little Retreat 🙏

Introducing fantabulous Freddie

March 11, 2022

Freddie joined Carreg Law in January 2022.

Freddie was born and grew up in South Wales and left to study law at King’s College, London. She has many years' legal experience ranging from a London law firm to running her own practice in Monmouth and, most recently, as Legal Director in the Wye Valley branch of a top 70 UK law firm.

However, her heart has always remained in Wales – and, as a Welsh speaker, is delighted to move back to live and work in Llandeilo. As part of the Carreg Law conveyancing team, Freddie will continue with the same friendly and efficient approach to working with clients. Her aim is to make the process of moving home as seamless as possible and to minimise the inevitable stress for clients.

Outside work, Freddie’s main focus remains her family but she also loves to garden, visit museums and art galleries and especially walk in the unrivalled local countryside

Welcome wonderful Wendy

March 07, 2022

May we introduce the wonderful Wendy, who’s now firmly settled into our Private Client team after joining Carreg Law in December 2021.

Wendy was born in Abergavenny and completed her Classical Civilisation degree at Lampeter University. After graduation, Wendy spent many years living in both East Sussex and Kent, where she qualified as a CILEX Lawyer.

Wendy is pleased to return to Wales and is looking to embrace all that the country offers. She has bought a mountain bike and has optimistically signed up to her local running club!

Wendy assists our clients with wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and probate. An Associate member of Solicitors for the Elderly and previously a Trustee for Age UK Thanet, Wendy is keen to offer care and support to all her clients at what is often a very challenging time. Wendy can be contacted by calling the office on 01558 678009.
